Some useful AGM resources.
While 'keeping it casual' is encouraged, the management committee has an obligation to ensure minimum governance protocols are observed. Specifically, they need to submit an Annual Return with the OFT within one month of the AGM and the supporting AGM documents.
The AGM minutes effectively prove to the OFT that the committee got their members to sign off on what went on at the association during the previous financial year.
