In the 2025/2026 North Shore Champions Plate League, we’ll be introducing an early bird discount for registration.

Each year, it’s almost impossible to pre-plan our schedule until just before the season starts, as we never know who will be registering and how many team’s we’ll have. This year, by registering two weeks before the season commences, you’ll save $50 off your registration.

Players that register after this date, will pay a higher fee, as we readjust rosters to accommodate team numbers and changing teams.

Other options we considered

Why did we decide to introduce an early bird discount?

There are many different ways to encourage players to register early. Here are some of the other options we considered and decided against:

1. We charge a team registration fee (similar to how BQ charges for tournaments)
2. We charge an “admin” fee for late registration (a different way of saying Early Bird discount)
3. Ask people to register early (hasn’t worked in previous seasons)
4. Set a cut off date (would exclude late-comers completely)
