The SCBA is actively recruiting new scorers.

If you are interested in becoming a scorer and receiving your accreditation, we offer subsidised course fees for new volunteers.

Courses are held sporadically throughout the year via Baseball Queensland, so please follow the contact details below for more information.

What does the role involve?

Common responsibilities for Scorers include:

• Keeping a pitch-by-pitch record of the game
• Answering scoring questions (in game) from umpires, Team Managers and Coaches
• Correcting the umpire on any missed balls, strikes or outs missed when communicating to other players and umpires.
• Adjusting the score based on any direction from the umpire
• Being a part of a chat group (typically Messenger or WhatsApp) with other Scorers in your league
